CONFIRMATIONS

Generally, bookings are confirmed after a deposit (of 50% or greater of the event fee) is received.

PAYMENTS

Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit card, EFTPOS or cash. (Additional fees apply for Credit Cards).

Deposits and payments are NOT refundable – and in some circumstances may – be transferable to another event at Sailaway Sydney’s absolute discretion.

Full payment is required prior to commencement of the event.

CANCELLATION

Rescheduling/ Change of Date Request generally requires 7 days notice prior to the scheduled time – by phone or by email to Sailaway Sydney, .

Rebooking/ rescheduling is on a standby basis and subject to availability. If a reschedule is available, then a minimum reschedule fee of $100 will apply.

Cancellation within 30 days of the commencement of the event will forfeit 50% of the full fee.

Cancellation within 14 days of the course start will forfeit 100% of the full fee.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing or by email, .

We will endeavour to organise a replacement in the event of an emergency, however if we are unable to find a replacement the above conditions will be strictly enforced. No refunds available. We recommend you insure against loss of fees in case of emergency or sickness. We do not provide insurance.

INCLEMENT OR UNSAFE WEATHER

For safety or other reasons, Sailaway Sydney, at its absolute discretion, may determine the suitability of conditions and the possibility of postponement on the day of the event. Sailing will likely not proceed if there is a strong wind warning or gale warning issued for Sydney Enclosed Water by the Bureau of Meteorology. If the event is unable to proceed due to weather conditions, then the event will be rescheduled at another time (subject to availability) – no refunds are given.

FORCE MAJEUR

Should the event be prevented or restricted by reason of fire, storm, flood, earthquake, war, labour dispute, bush fires, smog and air quality, health pandemic, transportation embargo, law, order, directive of the government or any condition beyond the reasonable control of Sailaway Sydney, then the event will be postponed to another suitable and available date – NO REFUNDS – and the client will have no claim on Sailaway Sydney for any inconvenience, or costs or contingent costs incurred.

We are flexible regarding late postponement due to any Covid safety issues or restrictions.

ATTIRE

Please ensure you and your guests do not wear black soled shoes or hard shoes as these can mark the decks or damage the varnish work.

Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Those working winches etc are expected to wear gloves – and all on board practice good hygiene in line with Covid guidelines.
